Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Refund Policy for Aqua Funk Aquatics
Thank you for shopping at **Aqua Funk Aquatics**. We strive to provide the highest quality aquatic life, gear, and apparel. Because we deal with both living organisms and manufactured goods, our refund policy varies by product category.
1. Live Fish & Aquatic Plants
Due to the sensitive nature of shipping live animals, we offer a **Live Arrival Guarantee** under the following conditions:
**Notification:** If your fish or plants arrive deceased (DOA), you must email us a clear photo of the animal in the **unopened** original shipping bag within **2 hours** of the carrier’s recorded delivery time.
**Resolution:** Valid DOA claims will be issued a store credit for the cost of the fish. Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable.
**Exceptions:** We cannot guarantee survival once the fish has been released into your aquarium, as we have no control over your water parameters or existing livestock.
2. Fish Food & Dry Goods
**Returns:** You may return unopened and unused dry goods (filtration, additives, lighting) within **30 days** of purchase for a full refund to your original payment method.
**Food:** For safety and biosecurity reasons, fish food (frozen, pellet, or flake) can only be returned if the safety seal is completely intact.
**Shipping:** Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
3. Apparel & Home Decor
**Made-to-Order:** Many of our clothing items and home goods are printed specifically for you. We accept returns or exchanges only if the item is **defective** or if there was a **printing error**.
**Sizing:** Please consult the size charts before ordering. Since these items are custom-printed, we generally cannot offer refunds for incorrect size selection.
**Timeline:** Claims for misprinted or damaged items must be submitted within **15 days** of receiving the product.
